About Claudia McGloin
Claudia McGloin is an internationally recognised Specialist Medical Aesthetic and Orthopaedic Nurse Practitioner, and one of Ireland’s foremost experts in Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) and Regenerative Medicine.
With over 28 years of nursing experience, including 15 years dedicated exclusively to aesthetics and regenerative medicine, Claudia holds dual nursing registration in both Ireland and the UK. A graduate of the University of East Anglia, she has built an outstanding reputation for clinical excellence, innovation, and education within the aesthetics and regenerative medicine fields.
Claudia serves on the Editorial Boards of both the Journal of Aesthetic Nursing and Aesthetic Medicine, contributing monthly expert columns to each. She has also written several peer reviewed articles. She is also a Key Opinion Leader (KOL) and international trainer for Cellenis PRP, educating healthcare professionals on evidence-based PRP applications worldwide.
Her dedication to professional standards and patient safety extends beyond clinical practice. Claudia authored the PRP Framework Competency for the British Association of Medical Aesthetic Nurses (BAMAN) and contributes to the Joint Council for Cosmetic Practitioners (JCCP) Task Force on PRP safety.
Earlier in her career, Claudia gained extensive experience working in leading London NHS hospitals and with the HSE, specialising in Trauma and Orthopaedics. Her senior roles included Advanced Trauma & Orthopaedic Nurse Specialist, Department Manager, Limb Reconstruction Nurse Specialist, and Deputy Modern Matron for Trauma & Orthopaedics.
Today, Claudia leads her award-winning Regenerative Expert Nurse Clinic in Sligo, specialising in Regenerative Medicine, Aesthetic Medicine, Skin Health, Orthopaedics, Vascular, Women’s Health, and Menopause. She also integrates Lifestyle Medicine into her holistic approach to care, offering dedicated Gut Health and Colonic Hydrotherapy services. A passionate advocate for whole-body wellbeing, Claudia is also a qualified Reiki Master, combining science and holistic health for optimal patient outcomes.
Clinical Innovation and Expertise
Claudia has pioneered numerous treatments and products in regenerative and aesthetic medicine, including Rejuvula® Intimate Wellness and Dracula PRP Therapy™. She co-created the Rejuvula Intimate Rejuvenation procedure for menopausal women in collaboration with Dr Daniel Sister, becoming the first female practitioner in Europe to perform this treatment. She also specialises in PRP for orthopaedic applications, leveraging her extensive NHS background in trauma and orthopaedics.
Education and Training Leadership
Claudia has trained extensively across Europe, the US, Canada, and the UK and continues to raise the bar by training medical professionals in Ireland, the UK, and internationally. She is a former consultant trainer for Med&Skin and Aesthetic Source, on behalf of Skin Tech Pharma Group. She is a KOL for Cellenis and is an international speaker and trainer. In addition, she is the founder of her own Medical Aesthetic Courses Academy, educating practitioners to the highest clinical standards.
Research, Publications, and Presentations
A prolific researcher, Claudia has conducted clinical audits, trials, and research studies, presenting nationally and internationally. She is the only Irish nurse invited by the Scientific Committee of various international conferences to speak. She is the only nurse ever to present at BDLA in Bahrain. She was the only Irish nurse at AMWC Monaco to present E-Posters on PRP in 2023 and 2024 and was the sole Irish nurse to present at ICAD in Bangko, Dubai Derma and The Aesthetic Show.
Claudia has authored numerous journal articles, book chapters, and media publications, including columns in Aesthetic Medicine (“The Princess and the PRP”) and Journal of Aesthetic Nursing (“Research Round Up”), where she also serves on the Editorial Board.
Patient Safety and Advocacy
Claudia is a passionate advocate for patient safety, inspired by her personal experience of wrong-site surgery in 2007. She is involved with the Safe Surgery Saves Lives campaign, sits on the WHO Surgical Checklist Implementation Advisory Board, and has advised organisations such as AVMA, NPSA, and JCCP. She has also been invited to serve on Ireland’s National Clinical Effectiveness Committee (NCEC) and continues to champion patient safety in medical aesthetics.
Legal and Professional Expertise
Claudia has completed an Intensive Expert Witness Course in London and a Medical Law and Ethics course at the University of Edinburgh. She now undertakes work as a Nursing Expert Witness, specialising in clinical negligence, orthopaedics, wound care, nursing practice, and regenerative medicine, adhering strictly to professional codes and legal standards in Ireland and the UK.

Claudia founded The Regenerative Expert Nurse Clinic, a multi-award-winning, nurse-led centre of excellence in Sligo. She has also developed two exclusive skincare brands, New You® and Skin Essentials for Men, alongside a range of clinic-based health and protoen supplements supporting a holistic, 360-degree approach to health, aesthetics, and wellbeing.
